Understanding and Implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
Through history, legal context, and real examples, participants explore the foundational right to self-determination, and Canada’s evolving relationship with the UN Declaration. Three modules cover the human rights of Indigenous Peoples, key principles of the UN Declaration, and rights implementation. The course promotes reflection on Global Affairs Canada’s role, Free Prior and Informed Consent, and moving from awareness to meaningful action at home and abroad.

Understanding and Working with the European Union
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. This course provides an introduction to the European Union and its institutions, as well as an increased understanding of how it interacts with Canada.
