Description
Participants will receive practical guidance and engage in activities to strengthen their writing and decision-making skills when crafting strategic briefs for senior officials and ministers.
This course targets new and experienced officers working in the areas of political, commercial and international assistance as well as others who wish to improve the strategic focus and clarity in written communications.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- demonstrate an awareness of practical usage and context when drafting briefing materials
- apply strategic approach to selecting and organizing fit-for-purpose content
- employ best practices to write clear, concise, and accurate briefs
- incorporate self and peer-editing practices
Notes: This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis.
