Description
The course will provide an overview of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) program and offer guidance on how to effectively manage the program at missions. It will prepare program managers and officers for the implementation of CFLI projects in their countries of accreditation—from the initial step of issuing a call for proposals to the last step of project and program reporting.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- explain CFLI program objectives and identify key steps and responsibilities in the CFLI business process
- use program templates and draft contribution agreements for the CFLI program
- identify key factors to consider when selecting projects and evaluate their eligibility and strategic value
- track and manage finances properly
- effectively monitor and report on projects
- demonstrate how the CFLI program can be leveraged as a mission tool for advocacy and influence
