This course provides detailed knowledge of consular and passport services abroad as well as a basic knowledge of other government departments programs delivered by consular staff abroad. This course is designed for consular program managers and employees who will have primary responsibility for consular work.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• apply best practices surrounding the process in dealing with different cases, such as: hospitalization, death, detainees, children issues, financial assistance, etc.
• apply best practices surrounding the process on working with Passport applications
• apply best practices surrounding the process for: Citizenship applications, Canada Border Services, other consular services
• understand the Vienna Convention and the consular policy manual
