Description

This course is intended for consular officers or individuals who will be delivering consular services to Canadians abroad. Based on the trends and issues in your region, understanding how to identify the right outcome to address issues affecting Canadians abroad will help in creating a targeted advocacy initiative.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • review the different components to creating a successful advocacy initiative
  • discuss the theory of change model and how to incorporate it into an advocacy initiative
  • apply the 7-step guideline and plan an advocacy initiative
  • highlight the Consular Advocacy Initiative Fund (CAIF)
