Description

This course provides a concise overview of Canadian citizenship and the role of Global Affairs Canada in supporting the Citizenship Program of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Participants will gain insight into the citizenship services delivered by the consular network and learn how missions contribute to the process.

Learning objectives 

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key components of Canadian citizenship legislation, the role of missions in the citizenship process, and the different types of citizenship applications
  • Access tools and resources to understand the Citizenship Program’s directives and procedures for processing applications abroad.
