Description

This course raises awareness about bias and shares mitigation strategies with the objective to promote respect, inclusion and equality at workplace. The course considers social constructions and mental processes to build an understanding of unconscious bias and highlights the process in which bias adversely affects workplace. The course emphasizes bias mitigation strategies from the perspectives of the source, recipient and bystander.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • develop an understanding of the concept and construction of unconscious bias
  • identify manifestations of bias in the workplace
  • analyze the discriminatory effect of bias in the workplace
  • identify and apply mitigation strategies to counter bias as a source, recipient or witness
