Description
Resource Management for Program Managers is an effective financial management and is essential to ensure financial resources of the department and Government of Canada are well managed in the delivery of programs to Canadians. A key component of effective financial management is a structured and standardized approach to budget planning. This course will prepare program managers to effectively manage their mission program budgets.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- describe their role and responsibilities with respect to financial management and delegated signing authorities
- describe the annual financial cycle from Strategia to budget allocation
- prepare a monthly FINSTAT report
- complete Official Hospitality Outside Canada (OHOC) and Travel claim forms accurately
