Description

Please note

Some sessions may be scheduled outside of normal headquarters operating hours (Eastern standard times) to accommodate colleagues at missions. Please review session times carefully before registering.

As we continue to navigate an increasingly complex global landscape, new priorities, resource pressures and ongoing organizational change, clear expectations and practical guidance are essential.

The updated Values and Ethics Code and Code of Conduct reflect the context in which we now operate. They also reinforce the shared standards that guide how we work globally, for Canada-based staff and locally engaged staff alike, while remaining aligned with the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector and the Treasury Board Directive on Conflict of Interest. Revisions were informed by employee and departmental consultations, resulting in clearer language and more practical examples.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • understand the Values and Ethics Code and Code of Conduct
  • recognize expected behaviors and standards
  • apply practices in real-world situations
