Description
This course provides guidance and practical activities that provide approaches to targeting issues of importance. Develop an evidence-based analysis, and strengthen writing skills to craft strategic and focused reports for senior management. This course targets new and experienced officers working in the areas of political, commercial and international assistance as well as those who wish to improve strategic focus and clarity in written communications.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- describe the purpose and key elements of strategic analysis in report writing
- create a focused outline and draft report
- identify why and how to leverage library databases and resources to automate and gather targeted intelligence
- apply best practices to write clear, concise, well-organized and edited reports
- create and access shared documents to facilitate collaboration and report sharing
