This course will provide trade commissioners with a practical understanding of competitive intelligence (CI) and how it can be applied by themselves and their clients to gain or improve market access for their products or services. CI is one of the value-added services that trade commissioners' clients need and expect.
Learning objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- describe the concepts and practices of competitive intelligence in international trade;
- develop competitive intelligence plans
- interpret and evaluate business intelligence data for the benefit of Canadian businesses.
- collect intelligence at events (conferences, fairs, etc.)
Notes : This course is also open to employees of other departments on a cost recovery basis.
