Description

This information session, through a combination of presentations and discussions, is intended to familiarize Trade Commissioners with Export Development Canada (EDC) and to deepen collaboration and sharing of information between EDC and the department in support of Canadian exporters and investors. In addition to in-class learning opportunities, participants will be able to meet with EDC international representatives and business connections specialists.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• describe EDC’s role in mitigating risks associated with international business
• discuss how EDC and GAC can help exporters to overcome exporting issues collaboratively
• discuss TCS and EDC collaboration efforts to strengthen trade promotion capabilities

Notes: This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis.
