This course is designed to assist officers understand the importance of effective advocacy initiatives to advance mission priorities related to themes such as: gender equality and women's empowerment, human rights, Indigenous rights, climate action, anti-corruption, peace and security and more. Building on the theories learned in the online prerequisite, this course provides additional information and case studies highlighting the importance of: initiative alignment to priorities; clear desired outcomes; leveraging mission funds and partnerships; use of tools and tactics.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • identify the elements of an effective advocacy strategy
  • identify resources and tools to assist with strategy
