This course focuses on how to integrate gender outcomes and indicators into programs and project design. It is intended to be a practical extension to the more analytically-focused “Gender, Peace and Stability” (GPS) course. Participants to this course are expected to: have completed a course in, or have work experience applying Results-Based Management and have completed the GPS course (or its predecessor offered by the UK Stabilisation Unit).
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- explain the relevance and importance of gender equality in peace and security programming
- explain the department's corporate and global commitments to gender equality and Women, Peace and Security
- apply gender based plus analysis using a results-based approach
- demonstrate skills to negotiate for gender equality integration into programming
