Description

This course will allow participants to deepen their understanding of environmental opportunities and risks associated with international assistance activities, explore the political framework guiding environmental action at Global Affairs Canada and master the steps of the Environmental Integration Process (EIP).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • explain the links between environmental sustainability, climate resilience and poverty reduction;
  • describe the policy and regulatory frameworks that guide GAC’s environmental vision and action;
  • identify environmental opportunities and risks, as well as associated measures;
  • apply the steps of the EIP to international development and humanitarian initiatives.
