- the shock of being in a new country – the lifecycle
- stress and anxiety: type of stress related to the world of expatriation; tools and resources
- reactions and adaptations to being overseas
- how Canadians values plays a role in your cultural adaptation
- self care first to best support self and others, tools and resources
- critical Incident: What are they? What to do?
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- reflect on the impact of going overseas on their mental health
- recognize the positive impacts or challenges they are currently experiencing with their upcoming posting
Notes: The session is open to Government of Canada employees and provincial co-locators who are posted to one of Canada’s missions abroad.
