This course provides an overview of key concepts and challenges related to data analysis. In-class sessions are complemented by mandatory videos that inform course activities (approx. 4 hours total).
The course is designed for employees with limited experience working with data and is tool-agnostic.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- formulate a well-defined research question
- describe the characteristics that affect data quality and relevance
- describe how to prepare data for analysis
- describe basic statistical analysis methods
- identify effective data visualization techniques based on intended audience and message
