Description

This course seeks to strengthen the understanding of employees, at headquarters and missions, of key issues in International Assistance, of Canada’s commitments, and of the complexities in delivering on Canada’s commitments and priorities at Global Affairs Canada.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • describe the history and role of international assistance on a global scale
  • examine the implementation of Canada’s international assistance priorities and efforts within the global context
  • interpret how international assistance programming choices are made across the Department’s branches
  • explain the role of the International Assistance officer at Global Affairs Canada
