Description
This course seeks to deepen participants’ understanding of fragile and conflict-affected settings (FCAS), the conditions for effective international assistance in these situations, and how to identify and seize opportunities for conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- identify principles and strategies of the "thinking and working politically" approach in FCAS
- identify root causes and dimensions of fragility and conflict
- explain the importance of conflict sensitivity and conflict prevention in FCAS
- identify interventions to address root causes of conflict
- explain Canada’s current engagement and priorities in FCAS
