Description
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda are an interrelated set of development goals which balance the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development with peace, governance, justice and human rights. The course will build the capacity of all staff members in integrating a sustainable development lens across the work of the department.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- outline how global approaches to sustainable development led to the establishment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
- describe Canada’s policy framework for implementing and monitoring the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
- integrate a sustainable development lens into their work to support the 2030 Agenda
