Description

This course will introduce the participants to the basic principles of Result-Based Management (RBM), the terminology, tools and methodology used when applying RBM in the department's international assistance programming.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • explain the principles of RBM as a management methodology
  • explain the purpose and uses of the results chain
  • recognize results and draft and assess result statements
  • use Global Affairs Canada’s primary RBM tools: the logic model, the theory of change narrative, the outputs and activities matrix and the performance measurement framework
  • explain results-based reporting
