Description
This course will introduce the participants to the basic principles of Result-Based Management (RBM), the terminology, tools and methodology used when applying RBM in the department's international assistance programming.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- explain the principles of RBM as a management methodology
- explain the purpose and uses of the results chain
- recognize results and draft and assess result statements
- use Global Affairs Canada’s primary RBM tools: the logic model, the theory of change narrative, the outputs and activities matrix and the performance measurement framework
- explain results-based reporting
Notes: This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis.
