Description

Climate change is the quintessential global issue and cuts across the boundaries of domestic and international policy, development and trade. This course is designed to provide participants with a high-level overview of the drivers and impacts of climate change, the Paris Agreement, Canada's commitments and actions on climate change, and how Global Affairs advances Canada's climate change policies and programs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • engage in climate conversations across the department’s streams and business lines
  • recognize the different climate-related teams and roles within the department
  • generate insights on opportunities for applying a climate lens / climate-thinking
  • identify possible challenges to implementing a climate lens
  • consider implications of applying a climate lens to our departments’ work
