This course covers budget creation and transfers, funds reservations and funds commitments. It will use thorough handson exercises on soft commitments, i.e. forecasted expenditures and hard commitments, i.e. approved expenditures.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• describe a budget in the Financial and Administration System (FAS)
• create, display and modify Funds Reservations and Funds Commitments (including consumption and completion)
• create, display and modify budget transfers, supplements and returns
