This course will give participants the opportunity to acquire a good understanding of how a Foreign Affairs and Trade (FA&T) project is created in the Grants and Contributions System (GCS) with Project Self-Service (PSS), updated and moved through the project life cycle in GCS, and the necessary skills to do so. Topics covered: Create a project in GCS PSS, Navigate within a project with the Project Self-Service (PSS) tool, Coding, Statuses, and Project Budget.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• create an initiative with the Project Self-Service (PSS)
• perform the required initiative coding in PSS
• move an Initiative to an Operational status
