Description
This online course is an educational tool that assists health and safety committee members and health and safety representatives to understand and fulfill their responsibilities under Part II of the Canada Labour Code. It also allows employees, supervisors and management to learn how committees or representatives can assist in meeting health and safety responsibilities.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- explain the role and duties of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee members and representatives
- provide adequate information on what the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee and representatives do, so members and representatives can be effective in their role
- resolve health and safety complaints
- meet the requirements of the Code
