Description

Tweens/teens usually have very strong opinions about moving abroad. Some are keen, others not so much. This workshop will help parents better understand the possible reactions and challenges that might show up. Information about ‘Third Culture Kid’ will be provided to try to understand the reality for these tweens/teens.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

• identify solutions to tween/teen reactions and challenges to moving abroad

• explore strategies and best practices to assist parents

• outline the concept of ‘Third Culture Kid’

Notes: This session is part of the pre-posting training program. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend when possible.
