Description
The training aims to foster a safer, more welcoming and inclusive work environment for everyone, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and two-spirit individuals and others of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities (2SLGBTQI+). The training is provided by and to volunteers who become advocates of workplace inclusion with a focus on 2SLGBTQI+ related issues. Positive Space advocates often use identifiers to show that they and their spaces are intended to be safe and inclusive, and that they may be available as resource people. They discuss gender and sexual orientation without bias, while respecting the confidentiality of all.
