Description
This course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skill practice of some of the following subjects: emergency scene management, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillation (AED) and dealing with various injuries and wounds. To receive the certificate, it is mandatory that participants attend 100% of the two-day course.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- perform the sequential steps of emergency scene management
- perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children and infants
- recognize and provide first aid for shock, unconsciousness, fainting and choking
- recognize and provide first aid for fractures; head, chest, bone and spinal injuries (among others)
- use dressings, bandages and slings in first aid procedures for various wound care
