Description
This information session will assist employees to become acquainted with the protections they and their dependents are afforded while posted abroad, along with those of Canadian missions abroad.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- define privileges and immunities and explain their purpose and legal basis
- explain the different privileges and immunities applicable to the mission, employees and their accredited dependents
- identify what privileges and immunities might be implicated and require consultation with Headquarters should incidents occur abroad
Notes: This course is part of the pre-posting training program. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend when possible.
