Description
The purpose of this course is to provide learners with information on how to avoid, detect, and report cyber security incidents while working in an office, teleworking, or traveling, whether at mission or headquarters. It also provides security best practices for using SIGNET- D and M365.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- protect Government of Canada information, assets and services from compromise
- manage and classify information appropriately, which includes choosing the appropriate IT system to process and store information
- identify the cyber security threats related to phishing, social media and travel
- determine how to mitigate cyber security risks and potentially prevent incidents
Note: Mandatory for all employees (Global Affairs Canada, other government departments and provincial co-locators) who have a Signet account. Employees must re-valid this training every three years.
Employees must also complete Discover Cyber Security (DDN235, Canada School of Public Service).
