Description

The Trade program is an important part of Global Affairs Canada’s mandate and activities. Approximately one in eight employees work in the program—whether in Ottawa, across Canada or the missions.

With the Government of Canada placing a strong emphasis on international trade, there is growing interest in the work associated with the Trade program.

This information session is intended for employees at all levels, in Canada and abroad, who work in streams other than Trade and would like to learn more about the Department’s Trade program, its mandate, and the work carried out by Trade officers across the Department and the mission network.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this information session, participants will be able to:

• describe the Trade program’s goals, activities, and deliverables
• gain insight into the work of Trade colleagues and how it supports missions abroad
