Description
This course explores some of the economic challenges specific to developing countries, the ways in which development assistance can be leveraged to promote trade and investment for more inclusive and sustainable development and the conditions under which trade liberalization drives sustainable development.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- explain key variables impacting on the coherence between trade and development, aiming at sustainability and inclusiveness
- identify the interaction of development and trade/investment relations in the context of demand for sustainability and of structural changes
- link national and international responses to trade and development concepts that are progressive, inclusive, and sustainable
