Canada's Free Trade Agreements
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. This course aims at presenting the key concepts covered in Free Trade Agreements and offering an overview of the agreement(s) relevant to your market. It includes the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) , the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). The course covers topics of interest such as rules of origin and public procurement, as well as tools and resources available to trade commissioners and practical exercises that allow to apply the acquired knowledge.

Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)
The course covers the core benefits of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), including: market access for goods, cross-border trade in services, government procurement, investment and temporary entry.

Canada-United States Relations
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. This course will provide participants with an understanding of the breadth and complexity of Canada-United States (U.S.) relations set against the backdrop of the priority that the Government of Canada gives to its relations with the U.S. in its foreign policy, as well as the challenges and current issues it faces in the management of the relationship.

Canadian Economy Primer
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. This course will give participants a deeper understanding of economic phenomena as a whole and how they apply to their work at Global Affairs Canada. It will allow participants to situate Canadian economic data in an international context and explain why international trade is essential to our economy.

Child Applications: Introduction to Integrity Issues
This course covers the principles of identity authentication for child applications and explains the roles and responsibilities of Citizen and Immigration Passport Program and various stakeholders in terms of protecting children. Learning Objectives

China and Global Governance: Charting Canada’s Interests
This course explores China’s role in global governance over time and across a range of issue areas, including the global economy, the environment, diplomacy, human rights, and security, as well as how these issues intersect with Canada’s interests.

China: Advanced Study of a Global Power
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. Building on the Level I course, this course explores the rise of China and its impact on the world order and the international economy. FPDS and Trade Commissioners will get an understanding on the political and commercial impact of China abroad. This class will provide participants more in-depth, issue-focused and applied knowledge on political and economic dimensions of China engagement.

China: Primer on a Global Power
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. This course is set against the backdrop of the rise of China and its impact on the world order and the international economy. It aims to enable employees to get an understanding of the driving forces within China and of the country’s international political and commercial aspirations.
