Introduction to Security
The purpose of this course is to provide learners with information on security roles and responsibilities as well as policies and procedures designed to protect employees, information, and assets. This course helps learners navigate through the Manual of Security Instructions.

Latin America: Building the Americas' Future
This course is available to other government department employees on a cost-recovery basis. South America is an important region for trade and investment, particularly in the mining sector. This course provides political, trade and development officers with a better understanding of Canada's role in the region. It provides an overview of new realities and key issues. It is also an opportunity to hear the point of view of external experts and representatives of Global Affairs Canada.

Leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for Impact: A Reflective Dialogue
This course is an opportunity for employees in a leadership role (leading people, projects, initiatives) to reflect on how they have enhanced their leadership practice and performance through previous experiences relating to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). To enhance their own leadership practices, participants will consider inclusive leadership traits; active listening as a facet of intercultural communication; inclusive decision making; and direction and guidance provided by the Government of Canada’s and Global Affairs Canada’s current EDI, Anti-Racism, Accessibility and Indigenous Reconciliation policy frameworks. Participants will briefly consider change management models to define entry points for inclusive leadership.

The course focuses on the last phase of the department’s business process, which is used to manage more than $3 billion in annual aid spending. The implementation phase—when results are achieved in partner countries—is the crucial period in the life cycle of a project.

Media Relations
Public Servants are responsible for providing reliable, accurate, and comprehensive information to Canadians at home and abroad. In public affairs, this is often done through the media. The media landscape has evolved drastically and society’s need for immediate information has created new avenues to consume news media, and new challenges such as disinformation and “fake news.” This session explains the media environment how to engage with the media.

Mental Health 101 for Consular Officers: A Peer-to-Peer Module
Assisting clients exhibiting signs of mental health disorders can be among the most difficult consular cases to manage. This course was designed to share tools and strategies to effectively manage such cases. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of
